Shaykh Shaqur Rahman spent many years in the pursuit of knowledge which lead to him attaining authorisation (Ijaza) in many Islamic sciences including jurisprudence, theology and recitation of the holy Qur’an, from scholars in Egypt, Syria and Saudi Arabia. Shaykh Shaqur Rehman also progressed in the secular sciences by achieving a MA in applied linguistics and completing a PGCE. This enabled Shaykh to teach in various institutions and universities whilst studying Islam.
